Hamilton reversed-phase HPLC columns
Reversed-phase HPLC columns (reversed-phase HPLC columns)
Our range includes Hamilton reversed-phase HPLC columns, known for their outstanding mechanical, chemical and thermal stability and long service life.
The product range includes both polymer- and silica-based packing materials, covering a broad spectrum of applications, from low-molecular-weight organic compounds to proteins and macromolecules.
Polymer-based reversed-phase HPLC columns
Hamilton polymer-based HPLC columns use polystyrene-divinylbenzene (PS-DVB) packing materials, offering significant advantages over conventional silica-based columns.
These columns:
- are stable across the full pH range,
- resist strongly acidic and alkaline eluents,
- are not subject to hydrolysis,
- provide excellent sample recovery.
The various functional groups and pore sizes enable targeted applications:
- PRP-C18: low-molecular-weight organic compounds, active pharmaceutical ingredients, steroids, vitamins
- PRP-1: general reversed-phase applications, excellent service life
- PRP-3: larger molecules, proteins, peptides, oligonucleotides
- PRP-h5: halogenated compounds, separations requiring specific selectivity
The polymer-based columns are available in a wide range of dimensions, particle sizes and configurations, including analytical, preparative and guard columns, as well as bulk resin formats.
Silica-based reversed-phase HPLC columns
Hamilton silica-based reversed-phase HPLC columns are packed with C8- and C18-functionalised silica, providing excellent separation of hydrophobic organic compounds.
- C18 columns: stronger retention, longer retention times, more complex separations
- C8 columns: faster analysis, shorter retention times
These columns are ideal for analysing, among others:
- polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons,
- small organic molecules,
- routine analytical samples.
The silica-based columns are also available in various column lengths, diameters and particle sizes, and can be ordered with guard columns or in bulk formats.
Reversed-phase HPLC columns are available in hundreds of configurations (dimensions, particle size, pore size, material and format), so the complete range is not listed individually on this page.
Detailed specifications and compatible models are available in the manufacturer's catalogue, which also offers targeted search options.
